Style Inspiration: Summer Sandals....

One thing I always struggle with when going on summer holidays is choosing the right footwear. Now that I am going abroad in June I really need to get some nice sandals that will work for all occasions!

I have put together a few options here that I think would suit for day or evening wear....

Vince: Lovely mid heel sandal with minimalist front strap these would work fab for daytime with casual dresses or dressed up with skirts and city shorts for effortless evening style.

M&S: A great casual sandal for day or night, the suede effect finish always makes for a far more expensive look! These would also be great for wearing with long flowing maxis as long as the dress covers the entire sandal!

River Island...These pale pink sandals would be a great evening option and the block heel makes for even more comfort if there is a little extra walking involved. River Island have some fabulous sandals on sale this year for every occasion!

New Look: I don't get on with flat shoes at all  but for daytime wear on holidays, I think I will have no choice.Even the flip flops I choose normally have a slight wedge.I just find it easier to walk in something that feels a little more solid underfoot. I do like the appearance of these New Look tan flatish ones so I will check them out for size. I  think they would look great with casual day outfits on holiday:)

If money were no object I would buy these beauties from Lanvin for a dressy night out. They are absolutely divine and would go with so many outfits!

Although these ones from Zara would also look amazing with a white or black dress on a special night out especially with a golden tan....just add a beaded clutch and some gorgeous bling!!

These are just some options I'm thinking would work for holidays without having to bring about 40 different pairs of shoes. We have checked in two suitcases so sorting out clothes will be another mattter entirely.
I can never narrow things down and always pack way too much, so I need to get a good capsule wardrobe together now! I also have to do a bit of swimwear research as I think the one black ancient swimsuit I own won't get me far!!

Hope you are all having a good week...mine are all still on Easter holidays here
so things are a little laid back:)

  4. O'h I don't know.....I am a bit like you and always need to take far too many shoes on holiday, I wish I could be a "one or two pairs does it all" sort of gal? But if I had to choose.......( Because I would want to take them all), it would probably be the River Island ones , as I am loving their shoes at the moment! xx

  9. A capsule wardrobe with interchangeable pieces is a good idea and something which I try to do (I'm improving!) but I always take too many shoes. You are right to consider sandals which are suitable for different occasions and I like your selection here. The Lanvin and River Island ones are gorgeous. Hope you are enjoying some sunny days this week!

  17. This is very timely as I am currently packing for an out of town ., summer here in the tropics..yay! <3 I tend to pack too many footwear since we can't tell when we may need a good footwear to slip on , right? an unexpected night outs for example ., now I guess I'm narrowing it down to just 2 pairs ., ;)
